Maryland Instruction Sites:

Training Approval: The Institute is approved for continuing education in Maryland for Natural Health Care and Conventional Medicine Practitioners such as Nurses, Medical Doctors, Massage Therapists, Dieticians, Estheticians, Naturopaths, Alternative Medicine Practitioners, etc. Certificate of completions provided when all requirements are met. If you are not a health care professional and are looking for practitioner certification contact the American Naturopathic and Holistic Association. See below for details.

The Washington Institute is also approved to teach a Holistic Health/Naturopathy program in Maryland. A certificate of completion is offered upon completion. This program is approved under the exempt status.

 

Washington, D.C. Instruction Site and Administrative office:

Training approval: The Washington Institute is Employment Services and Educational Services Licensed in Washington, D.C. The Institute offers Employment Training, Coaching Services/Prep Classes, Continuing Education, and personal growth and development workshops and seminars. The institute is also certified as a Training Provider through the Washington, D.C. Workforce Investment Council. Certificates of completion are offered to those enrolled with the agency division. Certification Examinations are also offered by the American Naturopathic and Holistic Association, American Reflexology Certification Board, and the American Association of Nutritional Consultants. Professional certification:

Certification is available through classroom attendance, Distance Learning Education and Examination through the American Naturopathic and Holistic Association’s Chesapeake, VA division.
Contact the Administrative office at: (202) 686-8202. Upon becoming a member of the Association students are entitled to attend classes. This membership organization is approved by the Virginia Department of Education.

Certificates of Completions permitted by the American Dietetics Association (ADA) and National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Association (NCBTMB) approved providers.

 

Employment training and certification in natural health:

Contact the Holistic Services Agency (HSA) division of the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine (WINM) at: (202) 686-8202. To receive training as a member of the Agency a candidate must be placed in a temporary employment status position.

The Agency is Employment Services Licensed through the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs of the District of Columbia (DCRA). This department (DCRA) approved the service contract offered by the WINM/HSA agency. Under this contract training classes are provided to those listed/contracted with the service and a certificate of completion is provided to the participants completing their training.

 

Nutritional Consultant Certification:
